Song Of The Day: Capybara - Wild
Here is a new song from Capybara called Wild that they recorded for our good friends over at Mushpot. They released a great compilation called Future Music that you can download for free at www.mushpotrecords.com. The Mushpot name might seem familiar and it is because you hopefully saw they are helping out with our showcase this year at SXSW.
As far as the song goes it is a beautiful slow burner that is likely to find itself on repeat. The guys have been playing it live recently and it sounds really amazing. This is the kind of song that should wet your appetite. For you can quench it with Try Brother which this perfectly right along.
I am quite excited to release this new ep from my old friend Dan Eaton. This is some of the most fun party music. These songs just make me happy. I am quite excited to have Motorboater playing Friday at our next seasonal showcase.

Song Of The Day: Cults - Go Outside
Run and don’t walk over to the Cults bandcamp and download this song with two others. I have had this little EP on repeat all morning. I have already listened to Go Outside a good 5 or 6 times and the rest a few more times. I want to hear more from Cults now. It is infectious.

This past fall we held a remix contest for Capybara’s song The Wimp and our friend and KC native John Bersuch(from Bacon Shoe) made a really bad ass remix which you can hear above. Well we invited him out to a Capybara show to give him his prize of The World Largest Gummy Bear. We want to thank John for the awesome remix.

Song Of The Day: Tanlines - Real Life
Mike’s Review: In recent months I have seen Tanlines pop up on a lot of remixes - all of which are amazing. I hadn’t taken the time to see their original stuff, and I was incredibly impressed. Everything they pull off in a remix - is done in their original song writing - and more. Great solid band - has a stench of a band that will be more than just a mp3 mention on blogs.
